The protection from the paint was beginning to fail. The City of Sioux Falls decided to use NCI on the door to extend the protective service life of the paint and minimize maintenance costs of the door – deferring the high cost of re-painting.

Nano-Clear Industrial (NCIF) – Ice Test (Informal)

Nano-Clear Industrial (NCIF) was applied over a fully cured two-component epoxy primer on a mild steel test coupon. Fresh water and salt water was repeatedly frozen onto the surface of the coupon and forced (by hand) to release proving the NCIF formulation is capable of providing a reliable solution to ice build-up. The film was not noticeably degraded – the pits in the film and epoxy were from the screwdriver and not the the ice removing cured material.
